I made this costume for my mom (my model) for 2002' SoCal Renaissance Faire. She wanted to be a piratess with character. The bodice is half split with deep blue velvet and thick,soft corduroy. The grommets are gold and silver alternating down its center. The trim is blue ribbon and gold/blue/lavender brocade. I attached the feather by hand to the black felt hat and added a small celtic brooch on top. The baggy peasant blouse and pants are super soft natural muslin.
